The Dometic PerfectPower DCC 1212-10 is a 10-amp, 12 V to 12 V DC-DC charging converter that keeps your house battery charged from the vehicle's alternator while you drive. It is built for modern vehicles with smart (variable-voltage) alternators, which often don't hold the voltage a leisure battery needs, and for installs where long or thin cable runs would otherwise leave the battery undercharged. A good fit for small vans and trucks with a single auxiliary battery.
Charges the way your battery needs
An IU0U charging profile is selected with DIP switches on the outside of the housing, so there's no need to open it. It suits lead-acid, gel and AGM batteries. An optional temperature sensor adds temperature-compensated charging, and the output is stable enough to run as a constant power supply for sensitive devices.
The charger switches on from a D+ signal, an alternator signal (terminal 15) or a switched input, so it only draws from the starter battery when the engine is running.
