PRODUCT DETAILS
The Go Power! Solar Port is a 2-wire SAE sidewall port that gives your RV a permanent plug for a portable solar kit. Mount it on the outside of the coach, route its 12 AWG cable to your battery compartment, and your portable kit plugs straight in whenever you set it out — no running cables through doors, windows or storage hatches.
Pick the cable length for your install
Choose the length that reaches from where you want the port to where the cable needs to go inside the RV:
- 12 in (78161) — port mounted right beside the battery compartment, or for splicing into existing wiring.
- 6 ft (80126) — the common choice for a port on the sidewall near the batteries.
- 10 ft (78162) — when the port sits further from the batteries.
Built for the outside of your RV
The SAE socket sits in a round flange that fastens to the sidewall with four screws, and a tethered rubber cap closes it when no panel is connected. The port is cUL listed.

FAQ
Where can I buy the Solar Port?
The Solar Port is sold through Go Power! dealers. Use the Find a Dealer button on this page to locate one near you.
Which portable kits plug into it?
Go Power! portable solar kits with a 2-wire SAE plug, such as the 90W Portable Solar Kit (GP-PSK-90). DuraLite kits use the Zamp Solar Ready plug, so they don't plug directly into this port.
Which cable length do I need?
Measure the route from where you want the port on the sidewall to where the cable will connect inside the RV, and choose the next length up: 12 in, 6 ft or 10 ft.
What gauge is the cable?
All three lengths use 12 AWG cable.
Does it need a charge controller?
The port only carries power from the panel. Go Power! portable kits have the charge controller built into the kit, so follow your kit's installation instructions for connecting the port's cable inside the RV.
