PRODUCT DETAILS

DuraLite panels are not weatherproof and should not be left out in the rain; they are designed for portable, temporary deployment.

The Go Power! DuraLite 300W Portable Solar Kit is three ultra-light 100W folding panels with a built-in 30A lithium-capable PWM charge controller, kickstand legs, USB ports in the handles and a 12 ft lead with battery clamps and sidewall-port adapters. At about 10 lb per panel it is the lightest way to put 300W of solar on the ground: enough for a fridge, lights, fans and device charging with margin, about 90Ah a day in summer and 36Ah in winter. Plugs straight into Zamp Solar Ready and Go Power! Solar On The Side ports. 2-year warranty and a North American support team (part of Dometic).

Built to the standard RV manufacturers install

Go Power! has designed mobile power since 1996 and is the solar brand fitted at the factory by Jayco, Forest River, Thor and other leading RV builders. That is why this kit ships with the adapters for the Solar On The Side and Zamp Solar Ready sidewall ports those coaches use, and why its connectors match factory wiring. Part of Dometic.

Light enough to actually use

Rigid folding kits weigh 20–40 lb; DuraLite's fabric-laminated monocrystalline panels fold flat in a canvas bag, weigh a third as much, and set up in under a minute. Magnetic closures keep the cells covered in transit. The USB ports in the carry handles charge phones directly from the panel, no battery needed.

Lithium ready, maximum portable output

The built-in 30A controller has a lithium profile for LiFePO4 batteries as well as AGM and flooded settings. Three panels is the maximum DuraLite configuration — 300W on the ground, aimed at the sun, often out-produces 400W lying flat on a roof. The quick-connect leads daisy-chain, so setup takes seconds.

WHAT IT RUNS

What 300W of solar puts back each day: about 90Ah into a 12V battery on a sunny spring or summer day and about 36Ah in fall and winter, the same rule our RV solar calculator uses (30Ah and 12Ah per 100W per day). Compare that with what your gear draws:

Typical 12V camping dayDaily draw300W of solar (summer)
Storage: parasitic draws of a parked RV≈ 4Ah/dayCovered daily in summer
Weekend basics: LED lights, vent fan, water pump, phone & laptop charging≈ 25Ah/dayCovered daily in summer
12V compressor fridge alone, 24 h≈ 50Ah/dayCovered daily in summer
Fridge camp: basics + 12V compressor fridge≈ 75Ah/dayCovered daily in summer
Fridge camp + furnace blower (4 h, cold nights)≈ 100Ah/day≈ 90% in summer — add ≈ 50W or run a generator/shore day
Full comfort: fridge, furnace, CPAP, TV through inverter≈ 140Ah/day≈ 64% in summer — add ≈ 200W or run a generator/shore day

Rule of thumb: match panel watts to battery amp-hours (100W per 100Ah) for a bank that recovers from an overnight draw by mid-afternoon. A lithium battery accepts the full charge current; a lead-acid bank should not be discharged below 50%.

FAQ
What can a 300W DuraLite kit run?

About 90Ah a day in summer, 36Ah in winter: a 12V fridge, lights, fans, CPAP and charging with margin — the most portable solar you can deploy without roof panels.

Does it charge lithium batteries?

Yes. Select the lithium profile on the built-in 30A controller. It also charges AGM and flooded batteries, and portable power stations through their solar input (bypassing the controller).

Why isn't it weatherproof?

DuraLite panels trade the glass and aluminum of a rigid panel for a fabric laminate that weighs a third as much. That construction is for portable, temporary use: deploy it in the sun, fold it away in rain.

DuraLite or the GP-PSK-90?

DuraLite is lighter, lithium-ready and expandable to 300W. The GP-PSK-90 is a glass-and-aluminum rigid folder that is weather resistant (IP52) and lower priced for a single battery.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Unfold the panel, point it at the sun and connect: directly to the battery with the included clamps, to a Zamp Solar Ready or Go Power! Solar On The Side port with the included adapter, or to a portable power station with the appropriate cable.

What is a Zamp Solar Ready port?

A sidewall solar port found on many RVs (often marked Zamp Solar Ready or Solar On The Side). It is wired to the battery, sometimes through a factory controller. Plug a portable kit in and it charges the house battery without opening the battery compartment.

Can I leave it out in the rain?

DuraLite panels are not weatherproof: they are designed for portable, temporary deployment and should be folded away in rain. The GP-PSK-90 and OBSIDIAN® portable kits are weather resistant but should still be stored dry.

Is Go Power! the solar installed in my RV from the factory?

Very likely, if your coach is a Jayco, Forest River, Thor or many other brands. Go Power! has supplied RV manufacturers since 1996, which is why its portable kits ship with the adapters for the sidewall ports those coaches use.

Troy Swope

Used to have two of the legacy series solar panels made by Zamp solar before the merger, this spring one of them blew over and shared one of the panels, tried to buy a replacement, but they are no longer made. So I bought the DuraLite 300 watt kit, thinking that this would keep my batteries charged. Following the sun all day ,checked my the controller a few times during the day and it never said full. After the sun went down and going to bed, checked the battery status in my camper and it was at
75 full . I have two new 200 amp hours batteries, all spring and early summer with the older panels my batteries where full my 10:30 / 11:00 each morning. Good idea not sure if it is if it works like the older panels.
