PRODUCT DETAILS
The Go Power! 400W Overlander Solar Kit is a complete two-panel rooftop system for extended dry camping: two all-black 200W monocrystalline panels, a 30A Bluetooth charge controller with lithium, AGM, gel and flooded profiles, solar branch connectors (SC), wiring, mounting feet and hardware. It returns about 120Ah a day in summer (48Ah in winter) to a 12V bank — a compressor fridge, lights, fans, furnace blower and a few hours of inverter use on a 200Ah lithium bank — with room for 200W more on the same controller. 25-year panel warranty, 5-year controller warranty and a North American support team (part of Dometic).
Built to the standard RV manufacturers install
Go Power! has designed mobile power since 1996 and is the solar brand fitted at the factory by Jayco, Forest River, Thor and other leading RV builders. The panels, controllers, cabling and mounting feet in this kit are the same parts those plants install on solar-equipped coaches, so the kit matches factory wiring and the Go Power! systems already on the road. Part of Dometic.
Sized for full-timers and boondockers
Four hundred watts is where a solar system stops being a battery maintainer and starts replacing a generator for everyday loads. In summer it refills about 120Ah a day; in fall and winter, about 48Ah. Paired with two Go Power! 100Ah lithium batteries you can run the fridge, charge laptops, watch TV through the inverter and still wake up above 60%.
What's in the box
This bundle combines the 200W Overlander Kit (84383) and the 200W Overlander Expansion Kit (84384): two panels, the GP-SB-PWM-30-BT controller, SC branch connectors, wiring harness and all mounting hardware. The controller still has capacity for a third panel.
FEATURES
- Two 200W all-black monocrystalline panels (400W total), 59.1 × 26.3 in each.
- 30A Bluetooth PWM controller (GP-SB-PWM-30-BT) — LCD, lithium/AGM/gel/flooded profiles, Go Power! Connect app.
- ≈ 120Ah per day in summer, ≈ 48Ah in winter into a 12V bank; up to 19.2A charge current.

WHAT IT RUNS
What 400W of solar puts back each day: about 120Ah into a 12V battery on a sunny spring or summer day and about 48Ah in fall and winter, the same rule our RV solar calculator uses (30Ah and 12Ah per 100W per day). Compare that with what your gear draws:
| Typical 12V camping day | Daily draw | 400W of solar (summer) |
|---|---|---|
| Storage: parasitic draws of a parked RV | ≈ 4Ah/day | Covered daily in summer |
| Weekend basics: LED lights, vent fan, water pump, phone & laptop charging | ≈ 25Ah/day | Covered daily in summer |
| 12V compressor fridge alone, 24 h | ≈ 50Ah/day | Covered daily in summer |
| Fridge camp: basics + 12V compressor fridge | ≈ 75Ah/day | Covered daily in summer |
| Fridge camp + furnace blower (4 h, cold nights) | ≈ 100Ah/day | Covered daily in summer |
| Full comfort: fridge, furnace, CPAP, TV through inverter | ≈ 140Ah/day | ≈ 86% in summer — add ≈ 100W or run a generator/shore day |
Rule of thumb: match panel watts to battery amp-hours (100W per 100Ah) for a bank that recovers from an overnight draw by mid-afternoon. A lithium battery accepts the full charge current; a lead-acid bank should not be discharged below 50%.

FAQ
What can a 400W solar kit run?
About 120Ah a day in summer (48Ah in winter): a 12V compressor fridge, lights, fans, water pump, device charging and a CPAP, with margin for a furnace blower in cool weather or a few hours of TV through an inverter. It is the size most full-time boondockers settle on per 200Ah of lithium.
Which battery does it suit?
200Ah or more of lithium, or 400Ah of AGM. Two Go Power! 100Ah Advanced Lithium batteries are the natural pairing.
Is this PWM or MPPT?
PWM, matched to 12V-nominal panels wired in parallel — the configuration RV manufacturers install. If you want MPPT with a PowerTrak™ display, see the OBSIDIAN™ Series 9 kits, or pair these panels with a GP-RVC-30-MPPT.
How much solar does my RV need?
Start with 100W of panel per 100Ah of battery. A single 100Ah lithium battery running a 12V fridge, lights and fans uses about 50–70Ah a day, which 200W replaces on an average day; 400W covers that with margin for cloudy weather, a CPAP or inverter use. A weekend trailer with one lead-acid battery and no fridge is well served by 80–100W.
Can I expand this kit later?
Yes. Go Power! kits use solar connectors (SC) and branch connectors so a second panel plugs into the first; the controller rating sets the ceiling. A 30A PWM controller handles up to 600W of 12V panels; a 10A controller handles 200W. Expansion kits are listed under Accessories.
Will it charge lithium batteries?
Yes. The included controller has a selectable lithium (LiFePO4) profile as well as AGM, gel and flooded settings. Set the battery type once at installation.
Flat mount or tilt?
Flat is what RV manufacturers do and it is fine for most owners: simplest, lowest drag, no wind loading. Tilting toward the sun adds 20–30% in spring and fall; the adjustable tilt mount kit under Accessories makes that optional.
Does shade matter?
Yes — a shadow on one cell can cut a panel's output by half or more. Mount away from the air conditioner shroud, antennas and vents, and park with the panels clear of trees when you can.
Is Go Power! the solar installed in my RV from the factory?
Very likely, if your coach is a Jayco, Forest River, Thor or many other brands. Go Power! has supplied RV manufacturers since 1996, so this kit uses the same panels, controllers and connectors as factory solar-prep and solar-equipped coaches.
What's the warranty?
Go Power! rigid panels carry a 25-year limited power-output warranty and Go Power! controllers a 5-year warranty, backed by a North American support team (part of Dometic). Register the product after purchase.
