PRODUCT DETAILS
The Go Power! 200W Overlander Expansion Kit adds a second all-black 200W monocrystalline panel to an existing Go Power! solar system with solar branch connectors (SC) — no new controller, no rewiring. It roughly doubles the daily harvest of a 200W factory or Overlander system, adding about 60Ah a day in summer (24Ah in winter), and fits any Go Power! controller with capacity to spare (a 30A controller handles 600W). 25-year panel warranty and a North American support team (part of Dometic).
Built to the standard RV manufacturers install
Go Power! has designed mobile power since 1996 and is the solar brand fitted at the factory by Jayco, Forest River, Thor and other leading RV builders. The panels, controllers, cabling and mounting feet in this kit are the same parts those plants install on solar-equipped coaches, so the kit matches factory wiring and the Go Power! systems already on the road. Part of Dometic.
Your RV is already wired for this
If your coach came with Go Power! solar — Overlander, Solar Elite, Weekender ISW or a solar-prep roof — the panel leads end in SC connectors. The included branch connectors join the new panel in parallel with the existing one and the controller sees a larger array. Check the controller's rating first: 10A handles 200W total, 30A handles 600W.
No solar yet?
Start with the 200W Overlander Kit, which includes the 30A Bluetooth controller, or get both panels in one box as the 400W Overlander Kit.

WHAT IT RUNS
What 200W of solar puts back each day: about 60Ah into a 12V battery on a sunny spring or summer day and about 24Ah in fall and winter, the same rule our RV solar calculator uses (30Ah and 12Ah per 100W per day). Compare that with what your gear draws:
Figures are for this panel alone; add them to what your existing array produces.
| Typical 12V camping day | Daily draw | 200W of solar (summer) |
|---|---|---|
| Storage: parasitic draws of a parked RV | ≈ 4Ah/day | Covered daily in summer |
| Weekend basics: LED lights, vent fan, water pump, phone & laptop charging | ≈ 25Ah/day | Covered daily in summer |
| 12V compressor fridge alone, 24 h | ≈ 50Ah/day | Covered daily in summer |
| Fridge camp: basics + 12V compressor fridge | ≈ 75Ah/day | ≈ 80% in summer — add ≈ 50W or run a generator/shore day |
| Fridge camp + furnace blower (4 h, cold nights) | ≈ 100Ah/day | ≈ 60% in summer — add ≈ 150W or run a generator/shore day |
| Full comfort: fridge, furnace, CPAP, TV through inverter | ≈ 140Ah/day | ≈ 43% in summer — add ≈ 300W or run a generator/shore day |
Rule of thumb: match panel watts to battery amp-hours (100W per 100Ah) for a bank that recovers from an overnight draw by mid-afternoon. A lithium battery accepts the full charge current; a lead-acid bank should not be discharged below 50%.

FAQ
Will it work with my factory controller?
Yes if the controller has capacity. Go Power! 30A controllers (GP-PWM-30, GP-SB-PWM-30-BT, GP-RVC-30-MPPT) handle 600W total; a 10A controller is limited to 200W, so replace it with a 30A model when adding this panel.
Series or parallel?
Parallel, with the included solar branch connectors (SC). Go Power! PWM controllers require parallel wiring; MPPT controllers accept either, but parallel keeps the array matched to the existing panel.
Does it include a controller?
No — it is an expansion panel for a system that already has one. The 200W Overlander Kit includes the 30A Bluetooth controller.
How much solar does my RV need?
Start with 100W of panel per 100Ah of battery. A single 100Ah lithium battery running a 12V fridge, lights and fans uses about 50–70Ah a day, which 200W replaces on an average day; 400W covers that with margin for cloudy weather, a CPAP or inverter use. A weekend trailer with one lead-acid battery and no fridge is well served by 80–100W.
Flat mount or tilt?
Flat is what RV manufacturers do and it is fine for most owners: simplest, lowest drag, no wind loading. Tilting toward the sun adds 20–30% in spring and fall; the adjustable tilt mount kit under Accessories makes that optional.
Does shade matter?
Yes — a shadow on one cell can cut a panel's output by half or more. Mount away from the air conditioner shroud, antennas and vents, and park with the panels clear of trees when you can.
Is Go Power! the solar installed in my RV from the factory?
Very likely, if your coach is a Jayco, Forest River, Thor or many other brands. Go Power! has supplied RV manufacturers since 1996, so this kit uses the same panels, controllers and connectors as factory solar-prep and solar-equipped coaches.
What's the warranty?
Go Power! rigid panels carry a 25-year limited power-output warranty and Go Power! controllers a 5-year warranty, backed by a North American support team (part of Dometic). Register the product after purchase.
